UL 3132 Silicone Rubber Wire 150°C 300V, Tinned or Bare Copper
UL 3132 wire is a 300 V, 150 °C single-conductor appliance wire with soft silicone rubber insulation over tinned or bare copper, used for internal wiring of totally enclosed appliances and electronic equipment that need a flexible, heat-resistant lead.
- Voltage rating300 V
- Temperature rating150 °C
- ConductorTinned or bare copper
- InsulationSilicone rubber
- Sizes16 to 30 AWG
- Overall diameter1.10 mm to 2.30 mm
- Flame ratingFT2
- EnvironmentalRoHS and REACH compliant
UL 3132 is the UL wire style for 300 V, 150 °C appliance wire with silicone rubber insulation. TEBAOFLEX builds it as a single-conductor wire with silicone rubber over tinned or bare copper, in sizes from 16 AWG to 30 AWG and overall diameters from 1.10 mm to 2.30 mm. Several strandings are offered in 22 AWG and 24 AWG, from a fine 133-wire conductor to a single wire.
Choose UL 3132 for the internal wiring of totally enclosed appliances and electronic equipment that run continuously at up to 150 °C. Silicone rubber stays soft and elastic, resists heat, cold and weather, and is flame retardant with the FT2 flame rating, so the wire routes easily around components in tight housings.

Application & Features
Selection overview
UL 3132 is used inside enclosed appliances where the wiring sits near heating elements, thermostats, switches and motors: fan heaters, toasters, kettles, hair dryers, lamp housings and similar small appliances, and electronic equipment that runs warm. Silicone rubber is soft and elastic, so leads bend easily around terminals and components during assembly.
For comparison, UL 1333 gives the same 300 V, 150 °C rating with a thin FEP wall over tinned copper, UL 1164 does the same with extruded PTFE over silver-plated copper, and UL 3266 is a 300 V, 125 °C low-smoke, non-halogen XLPE appliance wire.
- Silicone rubber insulationSoft, elastic insulation with good heat, cold and weather resistance.
- 150 °C continuousRated for continuous use up to 150 °C inside enclosed appliances.
- Flame retardantSilicone rubber with flame retardancy and the FT2 flame rating.
- Choice of strandingsFine 133-wire stranding at 24 AWG and single-wire conductors at 22, 24 and 26 AWG.

FAQ
Selection questions
What is UL 3132 wire?
UL 3132 is a UL wire style for 300 V, 150 °C appliance wire with silicone rubber insulation. The TEBAOFLEX version is a single-conductor wire over tinned or bare copper, from 16 AWG to 30 AWG, for internal wiring of totally enclosed appliances and electronic equipment.
How is UL 3132 different from UL 1333 and UL 3266?
UL 3132 and UL 1333 share the 300 V, 150 °C rating: UL 3132 uses soft silicone rubber, while UL 1333 uses a thin FEP wall over tinned copper. UL 3266 is a 300 V, 125 °C low-smoke, non-halogen XLPE appliance wire for cooler positions.
Tinned or bare copper: which should I choose?
Both are offered. Tinned copper protects the strands and solders easily; bare copper is available where your design does not need plating. Tell us which you need when you request a quotation.
Why are there several strandings in 24 AWG?
Finer stranding gives a more flexible lead. At 24 AWG the choice runs from 133 wires of 0.05 mm to a single 0.51 mm wire, and the overall diameter changes from 1.31 mm to 1.47 mm, so check the size table against your terminals and grommets.
What should I send for a quotation?

Quality Assurance
Testing at every stage in our own workshop and laboratory, from incoming copper to the packed drum.

Raw Material Inspection
Every batch of copper rod, rubber compound and reinforcing material is checked before it reaches the line.
- Copper: conductor resistance, elongation and surface condition on incoming rod and drawn wire
- EPR, CPE, PUR and silicone compounds: hardness, tensile strength, elongation and ageing samples from each mix
- Suppliers and batch numbers are recorded so every drum can be traced back to its materials

Manufacturing Process Control
Stranding, insulation extrusion, core assembly and sheathing run under recorded process parameters.
- Class 5/6 stranding with lay length and tension monitored for trailing and reeling flexibility
- Continuous-vulcanisation extrusion with wall thickness and spark tests logged on every length
- Operators sign off each stage before the cable moves to the next machine

Electrical Testing
Finished lengths go through the routine tests required by the referenced VDE, ICEA, IEC or NEK standard.
- Conductor resistance and insulation resistance on every length
- Voltage withstand (3.5 kV and higher) and partial-discharge measurement in the shielded HV laboratory
- Screen and pilot-core continuity checks for mining and reeling constructions

Mechanical and Ageing Tests
Samples from production are tested for the duty a mining, crane or submersible cable will actually see.
- Tensile strength and elongation of insulation and sheath before and after ageing
- Hot-set, ozone, oil-immersion and low-temperature bending tests
- Constant-temperature water bath for insulation resistance of submersible constructions

Flame Test and Final Inspection
Before packing, the cable is checked against the order and the flame-performance requirement of its standard.
- Single-cable vertical flame test to IEC 60332-1-2 where specified
- Metre marking, printing, drum length and appearance inspection
- Test report and packing list issued with every shipment
