Cable Manufacturing Quality Control
Five-stage quality assurance from incoming copper to the packed drum.
- 01
Raw Material Inspection
Every batch of copper rod, rubber compound and reinforcing material is checked before it reaches the line.

Quick answers about MGM Mining Cable from our engineers.
01What is the MGM cable series?
MGM is the mining cable specification series of the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises. Each MGM number covers a cable family, for example MGM 101 cap lamp cable, MGM 109 armoured power cable, MGM 110 telephone and signal cable and MGM 115 trailing cable, and the type number within it, such as Type 3123 or Type 7, fixes the cores, screens and armour. Each TEBAOFLEX product page names the MGM specification and type it is built to.
02Which MGM cable do I need for a fixed feeder?
For fixed runs on hangers, in shafts or along roadways choose the PVC-insulated, armoured MGM 109 at 600/1000 V or 1900/3300 V, or MGM 118 at 3800/6600 V. Double armour (MGM 109 Types 3023 and 3123, MGM 118 Type 6020) suits shafts, inclines and routes exposed to rock fall; single armour suits level roadways and surface links that carry little tensile load.
03What is the difference between MGM 112 and MGM 115?
Both use flexible tinned copper, EPR insulation and a heavy-duty chloroprene sheath. MGM 112 cables add galvanised steel pliable armour for machine supplies that need mechanical protection; MGM 115 cables are unarmoured trailing cables that follow mobile machines and can be handled, coiled and dragged.
04When do I need a screened MGM cable?
Choose a screened type where the protection scheme or the mine's rules call for it. The screen around each core is the first metal that crushing damage or an insulation fault reaches, so the fault can be cleared quickly. Unscreened types such as MGM 112 Type 321 are used where the protection works with the earth core and armour.
05What are pilot cores used for?
Pilot cores carry the earth-continuity monitoring loop between the machine and the gate-end box or mobile substation. On MGM 115 Type 7S a three-core pilot unit also carries remote stop, interlock or status signals back to the supply.
06What should I send for a quotation?
Send the MGM specification and type number, the cores and sizes, the length or drum lengths, the voltage class, armour and screening requirements, and any approval or test documents your mine requires. Our engineers confirm the construction on the TEBAOFLEX datasheet issued with your quotation.
